The public terminal is provided for browsing, searching, citing, and comparing graphite writing instrument records. It is an electronic catalogue and reference desk, not a shop counter.
Operators may link to specimen pages, share records, and follow external product references. Automated extraction must be polite, slow, and respectful of the apparatus.

Prices are not listed because the data-base records pencils as specimens. Any purchase, dispatch, return, warranty, tax, or payment matter belongs to the external merchant shown after line transfer.

The catalogue is assembled from manufacturer records, public references, observed packaging, imported catalogue data, and operator corrections. It may contain omissions, aliases, stale merchant links, and instruments whose plates are not yet on file.
Use the data-base as a reference instrument. Before placing reliance upon a specification, confirm it against the maker or merchant currently responsible for the article.

All accesses may be logged to ordinary server records and, in spirit, to magnetic tape.
