ARCHIVIST'S NOTES
The Cedar Pointe #333 is a raw, unlacquered incense-cedar writing pencil made by the General Pencil Company, which has produced pencils in Jersey City, New Jersey since 1889. It has the company's Semi-Hex (hexagonal) barrel and a black ferrule with a soft black eraser, and is offered in two grades: No. 1/B (Extra Soft) and No. 2/HB (Soft). The unfinished cedar casing keeps the wood's natural grain and scent, and the pencil is intended for everyday writing, lettering and journaling.
