HOUSE OF GRAPHITE

Blackwing Volumes is Palomino's ongoing limited-edition pencil series, releasing a new numbered edition roughly every three months (about four a year), each honouring an artist, place, movement, or cultural moment through a unique barrel finish and packaging. Every edition uses the standard Blackwing build — a hexagonal California incense-cedar barrel with the brand's signature flat square ferrule holding a replaceable rectangular eraser — and is paired with one of Blackwing's four graphite cores (Soft, Balanced, Firm, or Extra-Firm) chosen for that release. Current editions are made in Japan and suit writing, drawing, or music notation depending on the firmness of the edition. This specimen: Blackwing Volumes in grade Soft.
