ARCHIVIST'S NOTES
The Camlin Flora (sold as "Flora Classic") is an iconic Indian wood-cased HB writing pencil made by Kokuyo Camlin and recently re-introduced as a nostalgic everyday school, office and exam pencil. It has a hexagonal barrel and a pre-sharpened, extra-dark crystalline graphite lead promoted as smooth-writing, smear-resistant and break-resistant. It is sold in HB, commonly in packs bundled with a free separate eraser and sharpener; the flagship "Classic" is a no-rubber-tip (NRT) pencil, although rubber-tipped (RT) variants of the Flora line also exist.
