HOUSE OF GRAPHITE

The Bruynzeel Burotek 1605 is a hexagonal, yellow-lacquered wood-cased graphite pencil sold individually across eleven grades, from 4H to 6B, finished with a colour-dipped (un-erasered) end. Reviewers note an unusually thick graphite core — roughly 3mm against the typical 2mm — that writes firm yet surprisingly dark, suiting office, school and sketching use. Although the barrel is imprinted "Holland" (Bruynzeel is a long-established Dutch brand, now part of Royal Talens), the pencils are manufactured in China. This specimen: Burotek 1605 in grade 4B.
