Apsara Jumbo Writing Pencils are an oversized beginner's writing pencil made in India by Hindustan Pencils (the maker of the Apsara and Nataraj brands), designed to help early learners develop a correct pencil grip before transitioning to regular-sized pencils. The thick barrel houses a robust 4mm "extra dark" graphite core marketed for clear, dark writing and resistance to tip breakage, and packs are sold with an exclusive matching jumbo sharpener. Apsara does not publish a standard HB-scale grade for this line; it is offered as a single extra-dark variant. This specimen: Jumbo in grade Extra Dark.
