ARCHIVIST'S NOTES
The Eagle Turquoise 375 (later Berol Turquoise, then Prismacolor Turquoise) was a professional graphite drawing and drafting pencil produced in 17 degrees of hardness, from 6B (softest) to 9H (hardest). It had a hexagonal, blue-lacquered cedar barrel with a metal end cap and a "chemi-sealed"/"electronic graphite" core engineered to bond firmly to the wood and resist point breakage, and was long regarded as a leading choice for artists and draftsmen. The Eagle and Berol-branded versions are discontinued; production was originally USA-based, with later Prismacolor manufacture in Mexico and Colombia before that successor line was also discontinued.
This specimen: Turquoise 375 in grade 4B.
