ARCHIVIST'S NOTES
The DOMS X1 "X-TRA Super Dark" is a hexagonal HB graphite pencil made in India by DOMS Industries, marketed for smooth, dark writing and easy sharpening. Independent reviewers find its core noticeably darker and softer than a typical HB (closer to 2B-3B in practice), which makes it equally usable for sketching. The pencil itself has no end eraser, though DOMS commonly sells it in school packs bundled with a separate eraser and sharpener.
