HOUSE OF GRAPHITE

Marco Raffine (articles 7000/7001) is a current budget artist graphite line from the Shanghai-based Chinese brand Marco (Axus Stationery), sold both individually and in tins for sketching, shading and graphic work. The hexagonal pencils are cased in linden (basswood) and use finely ground graphite-and-clay leads glued the full length of the barrel to resist breakage. The line spans 3H to 8B; the flagship 12-pencil metal tin (art. 7000-12TN) runs 2H to 8B. This specimen: Raffine graphite sketching pencils in grade 3H.
