ARCHIVIST'S NOTES
The Staedtler 134 is a hexagonal, yellow wood-cased pencil fitted with an eraser tip (black ferrule, pink eraser), sold mainly across Asian markets in HB and 2B grades and not sold in North America. It is marketed as an inexpensive school and office pencil for everyday writing (and some drawing) and is not listed in Staedtler's own online catalogue (the Malaysia site lists the 133, not the 134). A cited 2008 review reports the packaging is marked "Manufactured for STAEDTLER Nuernberg, Germany," with a version stating it is made in China, and regards it as a budget writing pencil rather than an artist-grade drawing line.
