ARCHIVIST'S NOTES
The Castell 9000 Jumbo is the thick-barrel version of Faber-Castell's classic Castell 9000 artist pencil, fitted with an extra-thick 5.3 mm break-resistant graphite lead that is bonded (SV-bonded) along the full length of an oversized hexagonal casing. It is sold in a set of five grades (HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B) suited to quick sketches, shading large areas, and drawing. Made in Germany from PEFC-certified wood from sustainably managed forests and finished in a water-based varnish; the pencils have no eraser.
