ARCHIVIST'S NOTES
King's Own was a wood-cased graphite drawing pencil made by the Cumberland Pencil Co, Ltd. of Keswick, England (the firm later known as the Derwent Cumberland Pencil Company). It was produced as a graded artists' range, with documented grades including 5H, H, B and 6B, and is typically found with a red-finished barrel. The line is long discontinued and is now a vintage collectors' item.
