ARCHIVIST'S NOTES
The Lyra Rembrandt Graphite Aquarell is a water-soluble artist graphite pencil sold in three grades — HB, 4B and 8B — in a round, matt-grey cedar casing. Its pure-graphite, water-soluble core draws fluid lines that can be blended like an ordinary pencil and then washed over with a wet brush to produce watercolour effects on paper, while the marks stay fully erasable. Part of Lyra's German-made Rembrandt artists' range, it is intended for fine art, drawing and graphic design rather than writing.
