ARCHIVIST'S NOTES
The Lyra Groove Slim is a slim, triangular graphite pencil from the long-established German brand Lyra (part of the FILA group), distinguished by dimpled "groove" indentations along the barrel that promote a correct three-finger grip and survive repeated sharpening. Cased in cedar and sold in HB, 2B and 2H, it is designed primarily as an ergonomic handwriting pencil for children and beginning writers, though the manufacturer also markets it for drawing. It has no eraser, the bare end is simply shaped into a rounded dome.
