HOUSE OF GRAPHITE

The Cretacolor AquaGraph (Aquarell-Graphitstift) is a water-soluble graphite pencil whose HB graphite core carries a hidden colour pigment; it is sold individually by colour (red, blue, green/petrol, teal, brown, plus a white blending pencil) rather than by hardness. Used dry it draws like a soft graphite pencil, and when brushed with water the marks dissolve into a watercolour-style wash that brings out the muted colour tint, suiting it to sketching, finished drawings, watercolour effects and mixed media. It has a round, cedar-cased barrel, is graded HB, and is made in Austria. This specimen: AquaGraph in grade HB.
